Electrical Arc Generation by Tesla Coil

A Tesla Coil takes a small input of electricity and uses a set of coils to build up voltage to tens of thousands of volts or higher. The electric field in air becomes strong enough to ionize air molecules, causing it to be conductive, and arcs are produced. High-Speed cameras allow study of plasma, branch pathways and timing of discharge.
